Christmas cookies warm so sweet

Pumpkin, apple, pies to eat

Tempting, tasty, foods abound

When family’s gather all around

They come for love from near and far

Laughter and tears, for lost years

Presents Santa did not bring

That made you cry, stomp your feet

Christmas past, Christmas present

Thoughts of love for those not here

With memories of holidays long past

Filled with love, joy and tears

At end of day, content and full,

We hug and kiss then say goodnight

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
